Me: holiday inn select and surrounding

houston - december 5 afternoon

i'll stay for six weeks in this hotel, holiday inn select - 14703 park row houston, tx. i've been in houston but that was seven years ago. when i was informed to go back there, i planned my visit in advance up to driving direction plans. thanks for information technology, i used to be using mapquest to give driving direction, but now i am using google local instead. for me, google local is really breakthrough for map technology on internet by combining map (that mapquest has) and satelite image (that google earth offers). really awesome, even i can locate the mosque al-farouqe on conrad road by seeing its building shape from its satellite image (mosque shall face to mecca).

what about halal food. unfortunately, i cannot find everyday cook from halal food restaurant, if that the case, i'll only eat vegetable and fish at all. once, i eat for breakfast only soup and salad!!! no rice or others. may Allah accept this and forgive me for any doubtful.

thanks again for google, i browsed for the word "halal houston" and i found a pakistani barbeque close to my hotel on the clay road - about five minute driving... it's called khan barbeque. i had talked with the owner and told him how i found this address, he really wondered what the internet did as he didnot put any advertisement at all. finally, i could eat beef, meat without doubt or worry. he also gave me direction for mosque close to this area.
