My Family: a happy day at last

[nirwana]

i arrived at cengkareng from london via singapore on february 6, at 9:45pm after more than 31days around the world (at least seven city from four countries). after waiting for baggage claim and taxi, i was arrived at 11:30pm after driven for an hour by silver bird.

first happines when i met my wife that had been waiting for me for this day, while all kids were in their dream. i kissed one by one as i missed them much more than i could say. i gave a deep hug to my 4year kid and his eyes was pop up by surprise, instead of crying, he returned my hug and kisses with smile. he got up and said hello to me.

... thing that surprised me, he walked to his play room and brought me a happy birthday gift for me and said that the gift was for me. i kissed him with happiness... how did my kid, 4years on age but shown love to his daddy beyond his age, shown true love ... greater than the love that i have given to him. pure and simple love from my kids. later we went upstair to my room and we slept soundly with love in our heart.

because, i couldn't sleep as my biological time still shown evening instead of midnight, i ran down and started opening my bag. i put gifts that they must be waiting for "years" and i stored all the gifts close to their bed. after tired working alone, i went sleep ... and i hoped to have a dream of a happy family like i had.

Indonesia: sbynomic ... go go go, get back and fight back

[on flight] between houston to london

i read an economist magazine on my flight from houston to london, it shown indonesia gdp growth was about +5.3% and it was equal to malaysia and thailand, higher than philipine but singapore took a lead by +7%, while china was outstanding with +9.9%. i'm proud of the economic team of sby for this growth, but the inflation rate we were not in good shape with 17%inflation rate while other south east countries were around one digit inflation. but that because of oil price hike last year.

in fdi, china was remaining high and took a lead, while indonesia was out of scale on the chart. i saw only malaysia get high foreign investment in 2005. this meant, bkpm and other investment body in indonesia worked not well and it really impacted to manpower absorbtion in domestic. i hope government can anticipate any regulations to minimize the impact of oil price hike and any energy price hike in the future. the benefit was that we can reduced unemployment in our society, while may impact on tax return (if government gives tax holiday for new investment) in short term, but increase in the next couple year.

i was no economic background, i'm just an ordinary technical guy --- so this is what my personnel opinion after read economist report.i hope sbynomic works well in this year and after to save our people from suffering more. there is no miracle, what they need is time and support from us ... rather than we complain their performance, have you prayed for indonesia today (and that's all we can do with costless).

bravo ... sby, go for it --- save your people's life with hard work, get your people's trust with honesty, get your heaven with trustworthy leader. you can make it and i'm sure of it.

Me: a flight closer to home (at least improve in time difference)

[london] heathrow terminal
1600 houston time: (GMT -8)
flight with lufthansa to london via frankfurt --- it was back track route, wasn't it. i was arrived 4hour earlier, rather than waiting in hotel for nothing. after checked in, i went to secondary officer (but no one knew this term, while it was commonly used in lax), they called it border & protection office. when i arrived there, an iranian holding british passport had been there. we talked each other but funny thing we were not introduced each other. he said that he worked in a british satelite company, which also supplied for bp in north sea. he had called to designated phone number to request officer to come to their office (quiet funny, isn't it - while several officers from others department were chatting). after a while, i called back to the number and about one and half hpur an officer arrived, gamez.

in lufthansa counter, i had to pay 25$ for overweight bag (lufthansa reduced the free weight starting this january) and it was a lot cheaper rather than i sent it through ups all of my training material with two huge binders --- it might cost me $212 to send to jakarta.

1040 frankfurt time: (GMT+1)
i saw from abovw the germany land was covered with snow.

at exact time of the schedule, the plane arrived at frankfurt airport. the funny thing, we had to go and use bus to go to airport and back to the plane, there was no bridge gate connecting plane to airport. i rushed in to boarding in and just waiting there.

1140 london time: (GMT +0)
there was no snow!!! thank's god.

custom and immigration was easy, was that because of i'm bp employee, i just wondered but i wasn't quite sure. i checked in to bmi for flight to aberdeen this afternoon. i will stay couple days in there at marriot hotel for sharing session on common process implementation in bp aberdeen.
