{family} ke safari melalui polisi

{cisarua} 19 maret 2007

{oki} at a barber shop

nirwana, 18 maret 2007

[EZ] Boedoet from the Sky

[Google] ... another free feature from Google ... GoogleEarth. We can find any place in the world with a fingertip. Look!!! See my school, SMA Negeri 1 Budi Utomo 7, alias Boeodoet from the sky.

The street is Budi Utomo street, where two school SMA 1 and STM are located and adjacent. I experienced both school were in fighting, I just imagined a war between Palestine and Zionist Israel with its throwing and flying stone.

[EZ] New Design of Toilet

This is another break through on designing new concept of toilet ... (damn twice I post pic related toilet after last "SOTO" and ergonomic-less office place concept).

This design may give a lot of disadvantage, some men may quee in one point because a girl keep watching him or even taking a picture.

Some wise advice, don't try this at home unless a girl in the picture is your wife.

[Indonesia] PP 37 dan Legalisasi Rampok Berjamaah

[Nirwana]

[tech] writing weblog offline and more

[nirwana]

I always admire with Google and any freeware champion to beat Microsoft. They work very hard with the idea just like a regular TV station, every one watches TV for free but they will be paid by ad, while Microsoft is just like pay-per-view TV. Both should be able to live and every one can choose which one is suitable for them.

Back to Google or Mozilla for example, I use both products in frequent, from blogger.com to publish my idea or Mozilla Firefox to browse. Lately, I empower this powerful browser (compare to Internet Explorer) with so huge libraries of adds on, one of it is "Performancing" which enable me to write down an entry of my blog offline.

Just as good as writing online, but now I can write my opinion any time eventhough there is no connection to internet.

Back again to Google, with its breakthrough to be able to work "like" office document and spreadsheet with only internet connection, work one file with other counter part across the globe, real time and free --- is really the breakthrough.

[opini] choice and consequence

[F1] Go Kimi Go

Another season is coming in, the engines have been started, the lap after lap have been tested. This year is the year of my hero. Kimi will win the champion this year, after one point distant with the champion in 2004 and the worst year in row of the team performance, now it is the time.

The time to be a champion is now, you can beat Alonso ... even Schumi (who is Schumi any way).

Go for it ... Iceman, you can smile now!

Gene: 'Ferrari can win titles with Kimi'

Ferrari test driver Marc Gene is confident that the Scuderia will fight for this year's Championship titles even without Michael Schumacher. Schumacher retired from F1 at the end of the 2006 season after finishing runner-up to Fernando Alonso in the Drivers' Championship title. However, the Spaniard shouldn't expect an easy run to this year's trophy just because Schumacher's out of the way. In fact, Gene believes new Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen has a chance of beating Alonso to the 2007 World title. "Schumacher won so much with Ferrari that some doubt if, with Schumacher gone, Ferrari can continue in the same form," Gene told Diario As.

"As I see it, though, Ferrari is still Ferrari and Raikkonen is a great driver."As for concerns about the pace of the new F2007 in recent testing, Gene claims that the Scuderia's preparations for the upcoming season are more advanced than they were at this same time last year."At this time last year we were not in as strong a position as we are right now, so we believe we will start the year level with the competition," he said.

[EZ] The One ticket experiment

3 engineers and 3 accountants are travelling by train to a conference. At the station, the 3 accountants each buy tickets and watch as the 3 engineers buy only a single ticket.

- "How are 3 people going to travel on only one ticket?" asks an accountant.

- "Watch and you'll see," answers an engineer.

They all board the train. The accountants take their respective seats but all three engineers cram into a restroom and close the door behind them. Shortly after the train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets.
He knocks on the restroom door and says, "Ticket, please."

The door opens just a crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand.
The conductor takes it and moves on.

The accountants saw this and agreed it was quite a clever idea. So after the conference, the accountants decide to copy the engineers on the return trip and save some money (being clever with money, and all that). When they get to the station, they buy a single ticket for the return trip. To their astonishment, the engineers don't buy a ticket at all.

- "How are you going to travel without a ticket?" says one perplexed accountant.

- "Watch and you'll see," answers an engineer.

When they board the train the 3 accountants cram into a restroom and the 3 engineers cram into another one nearby. The train departs. Shortly afterward, one of the engineers leaves his restroom and walks over to the restroom where the accountants are hiding. He knocks on the door and says,
"Ticket, please."

[kids] halal and no msg

[nirwana]
oki run to me with a hand full of chocolate, "papa, is it okey to buy me one, there is a halal sign and no msg", my five year old boy asking for a snack. no wonder for me, my kids asked me like that as i tried to embed deep in their head that we can only eat halal food and msg can make us stupid as it is a toxic for our brain... and it works.

when we go to hypermart or carrefour to buy goods, they will ready to fill up their basket with candy and snack. i do encourage them to set how much they want to buy and i have set them such boundaries: known brand with halal sign and no msg. eventhough sometime the manufacturers manipulated msg with mono sodium glutamate or mono natrium glutamate. sometimes my kids pointed out on the ingridients that there is no "msg", but i clarified that msg is similar with mono sodium glutamate or mono natrium glutamate, as written in ingredient.

sometimes, i let them to buy one, specially when oki asked something that crossing my boundary. he will keep asking me "please, papa ... just once and i want it so much ... please papa". but now, the kids have better understanding.

while for me and my wife, our boundary is more stringent - we will seek "halal food" from legal MUI and "made in Indonesia" is most preferred goods. I gave up using Mobile-1 and use Fastron of Pertamina, I keep buying Pertamax instead of Shell or Petronas fuel gas. I selectively buy Cadburry to avoid "made in Malaysia", never bought Pantene of Thailand and buy Dove or Clear of Unilever.

Later, I will educate my kids higher after moving class from "halal with no msg" to "legally halal, no msg and made in Indonesia".

Thing that I keep buying regularly is K Link product as some product is made in Indonesia, Malaysia, USA or India.

[Me] 5 days behind my 40

{Tanjung Barat}
Following is special comment from my boss as Central Coach, Walt in Houston related my movement to other position...

Muiz,
I appreciate your comments and have enjoyed having you on my team. You have made a huge impact in a relatively short time and I thank you for your efforts and contributions to our team and the asset. I have spoken to her and agree with the decision to move you to the Director of Organization Capability (DOC) role. I am confident that you will do an outstanding job and it is an important role. The MOC is the key next step and I believe that your time will be best spent working on that. I will be making future visits to Jakarta and we will have the opportunity to meet and discuss more face to face. Muiz, I will take your call at 9am Houston time when you call.
Regards,

It's relieving to have support from him as he was welcoming me good when first I joined this global central coach, but now I have to leave this to another role.

Both is global role - I will be road warrior globally in this or the other role.

Thanks, Walt

Me: New Year and New Assignment

[January 23]

Finally another year has gone with the wind ... I am older than a year ago. Thanks to the Lord for all happiness and sadness, for all things He has given me, He has taken from me and He has left for me.

This year is special for me and always, 2007, 1997, 1987, 1977 and 1967 ... seven is my magic number. Just several days ahead, I will be fourty ... too old to make a sin and too young to die.

Beginning of the year, I have expected to get a new position after one year assignment as Central Coach, working with global community. I shared this news to all my Central Coaches in world wide, as I will not attend the 2007 annual global meeting in Houston for next two weeks. Following is their comment:

Sorry I won't see you next week but "one of these days...." You never know.
Thanks for all comments from my friends, I hope I can deliver this new assignment better. What kind of assignment is it? at least it is upward move and also still working with global community.
